Avast antivirus is only the second antivirus option to offer a sandboxing tool for free; AutoSandbox provides a virtualized environment to run any suspicious applications. Whenever Avast antivirus identifies a new and suspicious application, it will prompt users to run the application in the sandbox. While the application is running, Avast antivirus will scan it for threats and if it deems the application’s code to be dangerous or malicious, it will shutdown the virtual computer.
